2011 Charter Seminar Series - Year Long

The Charter SeminarsA second course of 4 two-hour seminars is being held on Wednesdays. February 16th, March 16th, April 13th and May 18th. All sessions start at 10:30 am. These seminars are for a limited number of members who wish to study The Charter in greater depth.

Topics such as freedom of expression, including the leading cases, will be examined. Participants should have internet access. They will be expected to prepare for and actively participate in the seminars.



David Sims
is a retired lawyer and member of GTLLI who lectured to us last spring on Understanding The Charter.  He had the privilege of successfully arguing cases before the Supreme Court of Canada under both the 'Diefenbaker' Bill of Rights and The Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
